Silly Faggot, Dicks Are For Chicks

This work is inspired by my childhood fascination with sugar cereals. I would spend hours reading and re-reading these cereal boxes and they played a significant role in teaching me how to read. To create this piece, I traced and reversed the “Trix" logo from a cereal box and then waterjet cut it out of aluminum and powder-coated it black. I like how it feels readable and unreadable at the same time. The title is from a popular playground taunt from my youth.
