This work repurposes chenille letters from high school letter jackets and arranges them on a painted panel. The varsity letter is a symbol of athletic belonging and masculine achievement. Titled after the mascot of the artist’s Christian High School, the repeated "S" references the stereotyped "gay lisp," as well as the first letter of the artist's last name.
